Beauty of a Sphinxby KatspetkatComment: Having the blinds/frame directly behind the cat unfortunately breaks the line of its head. I do like the backlighting to bring out the ears, and to gently outline the cat's body. Do try to get this one again - it's a beautiful cat. |

Intenseby xXxscarletxXxComment: I like the way her hair frames her face. It's well done, but I'm not sure I like the desat with the blue eyes - maybe a partial desat to leave some color in her face and hair? |

Lagoon-2by VanBergenComment: Colors are very nice in both the sky and the reflection. The clump of trees on the right, though they form a nice line, seem a bit overpowering. I kinda like the car there for perspective, but it may be distracting to some. |

Small Houseby photobytesComment: This seems to be very gray and I can't quite figure out why. Not sure if it was underexposed of if you applied a gradient of some kind. If you get a chance to shoot this again - and it's a neat subject for a picture - try shooting from a lower angle, to take the viewer more up the path. |

gnarley davidsonby ehoscaComment: This is very well done, but I fear it may be a bit too much "digital art" for DPC voters. All in all, though it's a nice photograph from which to start and a nice job of processing along the artistic lines. I really like the reflection of the building that shows up in places. |

archesby bcraines1Comment: B&W is a nice choice for this. If it were me, I'd rotate just a hair to have the doorway straight. |

Fruitsby rishinicolaiComment: A nice simple still life; good color and texture on the grapes and the strawberry leaves. The melon in front kinda distracts me a bit - a little more DOF to make it a bit less fuzzy, maybe? Levels or a bit of color work to take some pink out of the background would make the colors a bit stronger. |

STRIKE!by melismaticaComment: A quirky, fun shot. Love the colors - how did she find an outfit to match the lanes? Love the shoes, too. I'd tell you to straighten it a bit, but I'm thinking that the slight angle actually works for this one. |

Emilyby LokiComment: The eyes are lovely, but I'm not fond of her expression - would rather see a smile. (Then again, this probably works well as an expression for the opposite gender, I'm guessing.) |
