A lovely shot to begin with - lovely lighting to highlight those gorgeous eyes! Texture is indeed subtle - maybe a bit too subtle. Try going all out, or texturizing the background (which may not work in this picture) then erasing a bit from your face.

I believe I read in a thread somewhere that you've only been shooting for about five months? You're obviously incredibly talented and a very quick learner as far as technique. You've got a great imagination and an excellent eye. This is an incredibly powerful photograph to me, and one which makes me stare in awe at the sheer beauty of it. The shadows, the light, the way the water looks on your skin, the angle of your head - all combine to make this mesmerizing. I appreciate the words you used to echo the sentiment of this picture, but would also like the see the picture without them, too.

I gave up the alcohol long ago, too. No need to induce a headache - and I can act stupid all by myself with no outside influence...

I really like the processing, and in fact like the processing on all your shots so far. What did you do on this one? (Always looking to learn from those that do this well!)
