I don't think this deserved last place, but I don't think anyone who attempted this challenge deserved last place, either. I didn't have a clue and didn't vote, but I did get a kick out of all the entries, this one included. In the spirit of the challenge and extra points for taking the risk on the post processing.

Very nice! Love the movement in this. Definitely "meets challenge" in my opinion and given the score, seems to have met the challenge in most voters' opinions, too. Change anything? Maybe crop down to where you have just mushroom and no background/space, but works the way you have it cropped, too.

Enchanted Tree

This is pretty darn cool. I suspect for the challenge (in which I neither entered or voted) some may not have seen a "tree" but if you ask me, the roots are kind of a giveaway. I love the color - nearly "acid processed" - and I like the light/shadow play a lot. I don't at all mind the small sections that are "blown" - I don't mind "blown" and in fact often think it adds to the shot. Definitely NOT below a 5 in my book - in fact, should have been upper 5's at a minimum. Nice creative and different take on the challenge!

Don't know when you shot this, but you may want to hide it and use it for the new open challenge - it's perfect for "portrait without a face". This is probably my favorite of yours so far in the sheer feel of it. I love the wonderful sense of movement, freedom, and power this imparts. Truly a tremendous SP!

Great job! Excellent score and placement on this one - and it's a great shot, too! I do like the lines, and really like the color play of the yellow/black against the blue. While I'm sure the camera helped some, it's a whole lot of you just seeing things well and capturing them. :-)

Very cool! Love the four arms but only one body, and I do like the wall in the boxes. I think the post on this is very good! And it's a very brave shot - way to step "outta the box"!

Wrapped in toilet paper? Nah, you're supposed to use leaves. That's what we used to do... :-) Really a compelling shot on it's own, TP aside. And I get a kick out of the fact you take time to shoot a picture WHILE you've got color on your hair - isn't that supposed to be a timed sorta thing?
