Expressive leafby Jaded_HousewifeComment: Nice find - I like the "face" - and echo the comments about the bluish tint to the leaf. The pine needles make the perfect background in color, texture, and lines. |

Dippingby KelliComment: Gotta say I don't think I've ever seen the bulbs like you're describing. I think what hurts this is the noise in the bird, though given what it is you're shooting, I'm not quite sure how to avoid that. |

Purple Dahliaby chaliceComment: Another great dahlia - I quite like this one pretty much the way it is. |

Seeking Light from Aboveby chaliceComment: Hey Jeff, you ALMOST qualified for my "No comments received during a challenge ribbon".
I didn't vote on this challenge and in fact, sadly, really never took the time to even look through it. What I really like - the deep rich color and spectrum of the green leaves and the way the light slides down the center of them. What I'm not so sure about is the composition - something seems just slightly out of balance to me, though I'm not sure what I'd do to change it. The red of the flower may be just a touch overexposed - don't know if you can change that by adjusting the reds alone in curves or not. |

Day 8by timfythetooComment: I like doing the desat thing with my black and white cat, too. Works nicely on these guys! |

Gratuitous Kid Shotby timfythetooComment: This really should have scored higher - I think you actually did yourself in with the title. I love the "straight down the tracks" view with the light on the rails. I didn't recognize this as Aidan though I suspected it might be - hard to tell when you can't see his curls! And you gotta quit sticking your kid on active railroad tracks... ;-) |

Bug Free Softwareby timfythetooComment: I thought this was one of the more creative oxymorons - and rather fitting. Technicals are pretty good, particularly the bug. Might even make a good stock picture with the same title, though you'd want to somehow disguise the software names. Probably should have scored just a bit higher, though I do think Alain fairly won the head to head on this one. |

Railroad Challengeby dallasduxComment: Looks a bit pixellated or oversharpened, but it's a neat effect and it's a very lovely find! Sorry to hear about the time zone thing. |

by undieyatchComment: That's an outtake? Excellent shot, imho - I like the distortion and it wouldn't be nearly the same for me if it were "straightened". |
