sandypby arsenalComment: Excellent! I love how tiny Sandy is against that giant structure, tucked way down in the corner. Amazing detail! |

0020.jpgby oscarmeyerComment: I quite like this - great use of depth of field. I've noticed that all of your pictures are a tad on the small side - you can have up to 640 pixels on the longer side for challenge entries and larger for portfolio shots. You do VERY good work - give us larger pictures to enjoy it! |

A Sailors homeby SheryllComment: When shooting at night, you need to underexpose from what the camera tells you. Sometimes a whole lot. I generally go for at least one stop under and usually more than that. For a scene like this, set the camera on manual, set your aperture to about f/7.1, then check what it tells you to expose as far as shutter speed. Click down until it's one stop underexposed, take a shot, then try one at two stops underexposed. Using the smaller aperture will create the star-like effects from the lights, too. This is a great location and worth a reshoot if you get the chance. |

Wedding Partyby GermaineComment: Ah, I know that spot! I like the partial desaturation here - it creates a kind of isolated moment/mood. |

Autumn Leavesby taljComment: Lovely clarity and color, and yes, the way the roots are creeping through is what makes the picture interesting. Good perspective as well! |

swan.WEB.crp.jpgby holdingtimeComment: Excellent perspective - love the look the swan is giving you, making sure you keep your distance from the rest of the family. Very nice capture! |
