Jackin' aroundby bryantbusComment: Heh! Love the DNMC comment. I'm of the camp that it does indeed meet the challenge. The lighting is good on this and the contrast/clash in colors adds a kick. The part I find interesting for some reason is the writing on the one jack and not the others. In a way that's part of a personal perspective - in my day jacks were metal, not plastic, and REALLY hurt when you stepped on them. |

Spanby quiet_observationComment: Wow - you almost got my ribbon for no comments during a challenge. True sign of a suck team member! I thought this met the challenge but it didn't quite speak to me. The parts I like best are the barbed wire and the clouds, yet those elements aren't what contributes to what I see as the "perspective". The part I'm not quite sure about is overall, the eye kinda just wanders with no specific place to go. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but in a perspective shot (as I understand them) you do want to try to lead the eye a bit. The upward curve of the support thingie (I lack the terminology) does lead to the sky, but too far on the right of the picture to give you "room", and the rest seems to counteract that leading line. Is any of this making any sense? |

A Hawk's Perspective on Electricityby noranekoComment: Yuck! That's for the bird guts part, not the picture. I actually do like the picture. I take the perspective part as not your perspective looking up at the bird, but the bird looking down at you. Kinda like "Hey, I'm eating here. Do you mind?" Really good clarity for a big crop. I like the stray feathers over on the one side. Poor other bird... |

Holy Weekby MambeComment: You have many, many great shots in your portfolio, but I do remember this one quite vividly. It is indeed a treasure. |

The Stockboy's Perspectiveby posthumousComment: Oh dear. I'm beginning to think I need professional help. I'm starting to think like you in some weird and abnormal fashion. I liked this. I liked the perspective, yes, but mostly I liked the feel of it. Real, a little lonely but not too, and everyday. Ain't nothing wrong with the florescents - that's the way they are - bright, washed out looking. I think you captured them quite well actually. |

September 7, 1969 - Monty Python's Flying Circus' First Broadcast on BBCby xianartComment: This so totally rocks. I LOVE this shot. Loved it in the challenge, and love it even more knowing it's yours. I grew up with Monty Python's Flying Circus (my whole family is kinda warped) so this really resonates with me. Add to that the sheer slightly insane joy it portrays and it's a marvelous shot. By the way, the stuff behind the head? Kinda fits with the whole Python thing, really. And I'm quite in awe of such a clear shot of a human at 1/8th sec. Sorry if you hate seeing it on your top row, but there are a whole lot of us who quite like it! Check out the comments! |

Out with the Trashby JuliBocComment: I thought this was a great, fun shot! The perspective part is perfect for the challenge and the shot itself is technically well done. Best parts, though, are the expression and the creativity that went into it. |
