Expectations by mpetersComment: The thing I loved about this was the way the eyes matched the ornament. That and it's simply an exquisite and well-done portrait - the softness is just right for this. Congrats on the blue! Now print this up nice and big and give it to your niece. |

Pretty In Pinkby TheresaAComment: The detail here is exceptional - I like the way you can see all the little veins in the petals - you can see the softness! You have a very good feel/sense for light. The composition, as Ursula points out, is a bit lacking in that the flower is just kinda there. Since I totally suck at shooting flowers, I can't offer much help except to say see Ursula's portfolio - she can shoot flowers. With your ability to capture light, you'll be able to work magic with shots like these! |

All Aboardby TheresaAComment: Hey, I know this, too! San Antonio seems to have a couple of favorite locations for pictures, doesn't it? Very good job with the B&W on this one - this old engine really shines in monochromatic tones. Great exposure control to keep detail in both the lit and shaded areas. |

Lighting Up The Pastby TheresaAComment: I know this place! In fact, I have a shot alot like it! I think this challenge occurred when I didn't have much time to vote, or this would have received a good score from me. Very peaceful and serene - you captured the light just right to really bring out the detail in the arches. Nice work! |

RJMPby Art RoflmaoComment: Beautiful shot of that gorgeous young man of yours. I'll buck the DPC voter trend and say that the high key works REALLY nicely here. Definitely a keeper. The kid, too. You should keep the kid, too. More photo ops, you know... :-) |
