And it did indeed do well. I don't see it as too colorful, though - seems nicely subdued compared to a lot of DPC-friendly shots. What I like is the striations/strata in the rock - I love good roadcuts for that very reason - and you did a very nice job of highlighting the geologic structure.

Without looking, I figured this to be soCal. Not sure if it was the scenery or the people that gave it away, but it definitely has that soCal feel to it.

Very well seen and awesome light. I don't know what you did to process this, and I can't quite explain it right, but this borders on surreal - only very faintly. It's fascinating. And I like Bucket's comment - if you ever saw the show "Dead Like Me" (shortlived, but entertaining), it does indeed appear to be one of the grim reapers making a call.

Day 12: Curves

All three are very good shots with interesting perspectives but the combo of the three together the way you have it is VERY cool! Great idea, well executed! I think my favorite is the interior one - I like the handles on the door and the bit of exit sign on the inside curve.
