Definitely meets the challenge well - pretty good score and a great average from the commenters tells you that. Good handling of the light and exposure to keep the highlights under control, too.

I'm not even gonna ask why you happen to have two skulls handy for this shot. :-) I have yet to figure how to shoot candles well - maybe use auxillary light on the rest of the scene so you get a shorter shutter speed?
