A view from St Sauveur in Canadaby albc28Comment: I'm very surprised at the score on this one (I gave it a 6) - I thought it quite appropriate for the challenge and pretty well composed with no cropping. For DPC it may be just a touch soft - since sharpening was allowed, maybe one touch of sharpening? And by the way, you are eligible for the highly coveted, rarely awarded "No comments received during a challenge" ribbon! (Send me a PM if interested.) |

Revoltingby howzitComment: I'd say you captured the chaos quite well! It is indeed chaotic, and that often turns off voters - with only a second or two given during voting in most cases, it would have been hard to see a "focal point" here, prompting a quick punch of the 5 key and on to the next. I like the color and the chaos. And I really like the green and white bunny on the one shield. |

Companionsby pamelasueComment: First off, you're eligible for the highly coveted and rarely awarded ribbon for No Comments Received During a Challenge (I have it in my profile - feel free to PM me and I'll send you a copy!). A very nice, soft sky and a pretty tree, though it's leaning a bit. That's perhaps one of the hardest aspects of minimal editing, is not being able to crop or straighten an image. |

Junipalmby GeneralEComment: LOL! Love the comment about having the prune fronds to get the one-third line. Or you could crop part of the tree out and subject yourself to the "it didn't have a whole tree!" crowd... I like the subject - interesting to see a juniper growing on a palm. A tad bright on some of the fronds, perhaps, but very good color, contrast and comp for out of the camera. |

Eau Claire - The Bow Riverby CitadelComment: In my opinion, this does meet the challenge and you've got very good color in the water. The composition is good with the diagonal of the water, but the picture overall lacks a bit in a point of interest. |

Arabesqueby anotherdayComment: I think you did very well with the concept - to me "low key" brings out the contours and shapes of something and you did that here. To help your score in this environment, you might try a composition a little less centered, with a bit of negative space. |

Boyby kashiComment: Nice soft light to gently outline the contours of the face. In my opinion, it could have been a little brighter though it probably would have lowered your score in this particular challenge. I'm not a good judge of low key, it seems. |

Stoic Resignationby fotomann_foreverComment: Provides very good definition of the contours and detail. The point that strikes me is the light in the eye - gives it an animated look - a presence, despite it being a statue. |

Temptationby scarbrdComment: I gave this an 8 and thought it not only met the challenge well but was a darn nice shot as well. And apparently I didn't recognize your wife or I'm not tired of seeing her. I liked the button. |
