I do know he did shoot portraits, and this looks very much like the way he'd shoot one (I have not seen any of his portrait work but didn't go looking for it either.) Very real, great light, wonderful expression.

One thing I noted in a lot of HCB's work was the juxtaposition of things - nice catch with the sign prohibiting the activity taking place!

First reaction - I think girls are brave to ride in skirts. :-) Not sure how this fits in the HCB repetoire but I kinda get a kick out of the fact the arrows point left, she's signaling right. I do think the in-camera sharpening was set too high. The crisp, almost oversharpened aspect of this doesn't work for me in this challenge.
