. . . through music.by leafComment: Totally conveys the sentiment! A powerful image which suits the black and white choice. |

letting goby slonkoComment: Nice composition, good close up. Feels a somewhat too literal interpretation for me - my favourite images this week are those that evoke the emotion itself. |

Saying Goodbye...by BlinksComment: Nice image, lighting supports the emotions depicted. I know it's odd but I find the hairy chest somewhat distracting/ offputting (I know I know it's a personal preference) but I wonder if choosing a less revealing top would allow the other weirdos like me to focus more on the face and letter? Does this get weirdest comment award or what? |

The Garage - Men's Last Dominium by byshenComment: I really like your lighting in this - it adds such a lot to the results. The deep shadows really emphasise that idea of a private domain, a deeply personal territory. The details, such as the cigarette, the neatly aligned beer bottles and the knick-knacks give me plenty to look at. This image really communicates... |

Solder by ScottKComment: Beautiful, another wonderful ribbon winner. The colours and textures in the droplet are really appealing and the "tick" shaped composition works so well. |

Spinning by D-ManComment: I didn't look at the entries on this one so this is the first time I've seen any of them.
Beautiful motion capture and I love that "texture" where there is an overlap of blades... I also love the almost geometric pattern of blades and gaps.
Black and white works well, composition, with the hub forming a diagonal line across the lower part of the frame, is also strong.
Congrats on your ribbon! |

All Lined Upby TerryGeeComment: A nice example of shallow DOF and the diagonal does add interest to the composition. Two negatives from my point of view - one is that the subject matter just isn't hugely interesting and two is that the top left corner of the frame feels too tight - by that I mean that the subject matter - the gulls - are too close to the edges of the frame. |
