egg whiskby willemComment: The colours in this just reach out and grab me and I love the way this really uses the whole frame so well. I like your choice to focus on the head of the handle and throw the two nearest spokes out of focus. Lighting is also just right. |

Silverwareby ShelleyComment: Very creative and intriguing use of lighting - I like the colours you've introduced here. And the repetitive shapes work well with that abstract feel. |

Talonby jmsetzlerComment: This one is fascinating because I can look at it in abstract - ignore that part is the object and part is the shadow and see them just as "shape" - and that works - or I can look at the object itself and that works too. and I love the texture of the wood with all it's scratches so evident - the angle of the grain within the photo is just right too - I like that hint of diagonal line that you have in the wood crack. |

What's for dinner?by arnitComment: Wonderful use of DOF - I really like how just the tips of the fork, the nearest prong and the fly are in sharp focus. Also a nice composition with really strong use of negative space. Like the black and white feel. |

a lovely industrial plantby ursulaComment: Wow! This is incredible! That thin dark line of mountain ridge really makes the image pop out though each element is perfect - the composition, the depth of colour in the cloud, the lighting within the steam columns and the position and size of the plant. Absolutely beautiful. |

Just TPby PoobaComment: This is a pretty cool abstract yet still recognisable. The clever positioning of the lighting is fascinating, though I think the image as a whole is just a touch too dark for my preferences. I think I'd cropy half a centimetre off the top and left sides. |

Chillin'by finnurComment: Quirky, I like the way there are two items that get advertised to the point that we hardly notice them anymore - cocacola and blue jeans and the low DOF works very well in this picture. |

Running Waterby agwrightComment: Going further than the usual long exposure to really blur the water motion makes this more abstract and hence more appealing. Though many parts of the frame are pure white I think this lack of detail and solidity balances the dark, detailed surface of the rocks. |

The Islandby e301Comment: A serene scene but a little overcast to appeal strongly to me. I also find the composition a little too centred and would be interested to see alternative shots of the same subject with different balances between water and sky, as well as different positions of the island within the frame. |
