Pin Dropby xenoaxleComment: Nicely captured - the pin's shadow really adds depth to this image. Texture of surface is great - creates wonderful shadow shapes and interest. |

Brain Childby crabappl3Comment: Like the grain though it doesn't look real.
Nice pose, very thoughtful, great close up crop = strong composition. |

Stillby Firstrich1Comment: Emptiness, desolation, worn out and abandoned... bang on for the theme. Don't like the red colour toning. |

I´ll never tellby MundiComment: The title and environment suggest to me a situation which the model would not want to be in, would not take pleasure from. Hence his smile seems out of place to me, though perhaps he's delighted with himself for not telling, it seems to me he'd actually just be emotionally drained from resisting... Great choice to position him in the corner and include so much of the wall and darkness. |

Silent Painby nsoroma79Comment: Interesting idea. Lighting feels rather uneven - strongest on her cheek and neck - perhaps needs to be positioned differently and slightly diffused, though harsh does fit with content. |

Quiet Morningby lnaniniComment: Fascinating environment - a real abstract of lines, colours and textures - and amidst it all a lone, slumped figure looking absolutely worn out or dejected. Only negative is that the large white wall is somewhat overpowering next to the other blocks of blue and grey. |

Desolate Dockby fluxnComment: Does feel very desolate, like the black and white. Feels a bit too centred to me - maybe spin to your left a touch so the bin and light are further right in the frame? |

Silence's Room.by JumboJimComment: This is arresting - the choice to include so much empty wall really works well. I'm not sure about the looming shadow at top left but perhaps it adds contrast. The vivid colours of the window frame and blind are quite startling. |

Fallen Comradeby vmagic118Comment: This is very poignant. Absence = silence - a permanent, jarring silence. A beautifully simple image with such a depth of feeling. I like the choice to make the bearer anonymous. |
