The thinking man?by lelaniComment: Nice portrait and wonderful use of framing to merge into the silhouette making this as much about the negative space as about the subject. Superbly composed. |

Jump #20by mikasiComment: Why is there a strange pale halo around the entire silhouette - this strikes me as heavily and poorly manipulated. |

On the top of the worldby heidaComment: Unexpectedly successful - I say unexpectedly because this is one I thought, on seeing the thumbnail, would be boring. Love the detail of her hair blowing forward and the rich sky (is that enhanced?). Nice diagonal of the hill too. |

Fantastic Voyageby MarkJayComment: A good choice of subject with sufficient interest to hold the viewer's attention and nicely positioned infront of the sun. Image quality seems a little poor. |

In the Zoneby ellamayComment: Wonderful action shot - love the limited detail where the light defines his back, arms and calves. Compositionally I wonder if it would benefit from a touch more space at the top? Excellent entry! |

Kruegerby soccerdadComment: I take it this is a carved elephant infront of a faked sky - I thought of doing something similar with a carved rhino I just bought back from Kenya! Nice composition. Focus seems soft. |

anticipationby grigrigirlComment: I'm not sure that I see this as a silhouette - it strikes me more as a badly exposed frontal portrait which woujld be better with fill-in light to show her expression than it is with her face and upper torso blacked out. A beautiful composition though. |

Drifting into the sunset by trainComment: Beautiful! Love the inclusion of two balloons rather than one - really makes it more striking. In terms of composition, given that there isn't really much more sky than there is water I'd crop the sky down and opt for a centred horizon. Ideally I'd suggest having a touch more sky than you have (to create a one third/ two thirds balance) and I'd also rotate to the right a touch so that the balloons are a touch further left within the frame. |

Ant Silhouetteby dsa157Comment: Great idea and composition but focus just not clear enough on the ant. |
