Nice choice to opt for full focus on the glass and not on the girl even though she is essentially the main subject of the image. Shame liquid is tilted and I'm not sure the way she is gripping the glass is the best option - makes her hand more of a black splodge than an easily identifiable shape.

Unreachable Dock

Goodness, I used to have a recurring nightmare in my childhood and there was this delapitated dock in the middle of a lake - this is it. For most viewers I doubt it will hold the sinister air it does for me but... this one certainly has a meaning to me.

A truly beautiful silhouette! The sky has lots of interest but not the usual bright, in your face, golden sunset - it's a much more subtle and subdued beauty. Subject of silhouette is just lovely and position of sun works beautifully also.

If focus were sharper I think this would be a wonderful image - the colour of the light is lovely. Shame about mum's expression though - looks slightly pained even though I doubt that's how she was feeling...

Beautifully captured, great use of DOF to throw out background, and the vibrant green of that background is appealing. Love the curl of leaf onto which he is perched but the overall composition of the image doesn't quite work for me though I must admit the semi-symmetrical nature of it is quite unusual for this kind of content... a real eye-catcher.

What an interesting frame that reflection creates... very strong graphically. Unfortunately, for me, the content just isn't arresting enough to make this a winner though the reflection is appealing.
