I really do like the perspective on this. It's a good, clean B/W conversion. The selective desat is whimsical enough to pass muster with me, though I'm not overly fond of it as a rule. Compositionally it's sweet, with all sorts of curves leading you gently to the eye, and the focus is exactly right; what needs to be crisp, is crisp.

The background bugs me enough that I'd work at trying to naturally blur it even more, but that's a tough job.

I can't believe this low score on this startling and peculiar image. The interplay between the deer and the ghostly background is very strong, and the deadpan composion of it is "frozen" just as the deer is. Pug wuz robbed!
