Pennybacker Bridge in 3-Dby srdanzComment: This is very interesting, and skilfully done.
I'm not wild about the gradient on the gray BG; I assume the idea is to present this as if it is a standalone construction, and I find myself wondering how this would have worked if you had exactly duplicated the DPC flat gray, then done something like using that gray for both BG & a border on your image, a pretty wide border, so the whole would float with the DPC-standard black hairlines loosely defining the target space. Or something like that...
I'd love to see you do a variation and see if it seems more or less 3-D. Regardless, a really crisp image and a fascinating presentation. |

Dawn Inspirationby NeilComment: WONDERFUL shot Neal! Beautifully done. But in reference this part of your notes:
"I would have loved for a train to cross the trestle, but it didn't happen and this light only lasted a short while. "
Tsk tsk. This was expert editing. Leave the tripod set up and wait for a train, then bring him in on the dawn shot :-)

the lone cypress... by xtianComment: Fantastic capture of an often-photographed scene, such luminosity and tranquility! I lived in Carmel for 4 years, and explored the big Sur coast extensively for 15 years. It's my favorite place in the world and this makes me homesick for it :-) Congrats! |

Funny Cow! by grbryaComment: Oh, how NICE that this wholly atypical (for DPC), hilariously whimsical image took the blue! It's a wonderful shot, startling sense of almost tactile surfaces, beautifully rendered. Congrats! |
