That's what 10mm does to you from a low angle...
Great shot metate, no surprise it ribboned. |

Study of a Philistine, unfinishedby MephistoComment: Wonderful shot, one of my top picks this challenge. Almost a third of the votes are 7 and higher, which is a lot for a 5.7 image; a lot of the voters felt this was exceptional. Fie on the nay-sayers! |

The lucid dream after raining by william88Comment: Beautifully processed, luminous & lyrical image. My only quibble is, I wish you'd toned down the lower left corner a full zone, made it darker. It distracts me with detail I don't feel contributes to the image.
Great shot! |

whispersby cutoutComment: Whatta joke this score is! I had this terrifically emotive, mysterious image as one of my 5 top picks. You done real well :-) |

Leapby xianartComment: Criminally underrated; one of my two 10's in the challenge. This is so matter-of-fact, so casual and yet so precise. It comes across as a perfectly-frozen moment in time, and the murky quality of the PP, the squareness of the framing, the hovering and brooding sky, all lend an almost aching sense of immediate reality, a glimpse into something we were not meant to see.

Outcrop by shamerComment: Another of my top picks ribbons! Very nicely done, moody and brooding and luminous all at the same time. |

Mother's Curves by LeeDComment: Wow, I'm glad this did so well. Outstanding work both technically and "metaphorically". The arrangement, altogether, is sublime, the lighting is spot-on, the B/W conversion is flawless, what more can you ask? I particularly appreciate the expanse of black above the figures, which I believe is proportioned just right. The way the upper arc of the woman's body precisely is tangent to the equator of the image, gently thrusting the newborn into subtle but distinct prominence/ascendancy, is a grace note.
This is a truly fine image, a masterful one even.

Imagination Begins as a Daydream by njsabsComment: This is just exceptionally good. The various textures of the whites are stunning, and that's SO hard to do. Also, kudos for HIDING THE EYES! That was so brave, and it absolutely takes the image to the next level. Congrats! |
