Freestylerby mrmorrisComment: This is, after all, the iconic pose of the early 21st-century urban photographer, LOL. Remember when we all used to stand up straight at your viewfinders? And now we crouch and the camera is at arm's length? Well seen! |

1,000th Challengeby MayaMComment: I like everything about this except I'm having a hard time, personally, with the extremely tight framing on the bottom. It makes me want to see this as the top half of a taller building, but I know it isn't... Just another smidge of foreground and you're in business. |

Warren Lade at 99by choltmeierComment: This is a lovely portrait in every way that matters. I am particularly taken by the excellent use of DOF to bring the face up from the neck, the clothes, and even the ears. There's a sense of abstracting or isolating the face/expression as if he is in the process of working free of his body and becoming wholly spirit at the end. Well done :-) |

The Opportunistby gocComment: This is just great! It's amusing, it's awe-inspiring, it's poignant, it's what a nature photograph ought to be :-) Bumping... |

The Professorby PenelopeKComment: I love, in particular, that the hand, for all its grace, seems careworn, well-used, not effete in the slightest. The lighting is lovely. I have mixed feelings about the chair back, which I'd have darkened or at least desaturated quite a bit. |

Shadow of Hanging Basketby GenrOneComment: You know what this calls to mind, for me? A WWII helmet, a tribute to a fallen soldier. Quirky image, and I like it. |

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner…by ImagineerComment: My lady friend's an expatriate Brit, and she loves the song. According to her, this image makes her homesick. Since I already liked it very well myself, that's worth a bump :-) |
