Down and Upby smichenerComment: I keep coming back to this one. It has an unusual power to it. I have a sense of "not liking" it bcause the walkway and top of the wall seem too bright for the scene (I think that's what I'm reacting too, but I'm not sure), but at the same time there's an overalls ense of etched tonality that is compelling me.
It may just be that I feel like it's divided too neatly into equal wedges, I donno.
Anyway, I'm bumping from 7 to 8 now :-) For me, 8's a very high score, especially on a landscape. |

The Sentinelsby sfaliceComment: This is very nice in many ways. Lovely conversion. To my eye you've gone a bit too far with the shadow/highlight. tone mapping, or whatever, to where the shadows on the ground are unnaturally bright, and this keeps me from giving a very high score, but still I love the overall mood. 7 from me. |

The Albino Stare by VitaminBComment: Hey, Brad? Which way is this beast pointed? It looks like he's pointed to the right, but then his nostrils are behind his eyes? LOL.
Killer shot BTW, congrats on blue. |

Sophia Sees Youby RKTComment: "Perhaps this is what the "suffering" guy above was thinking? No understanding a narrow depth of field/focus?"
**************
Maybe, but here's another theory; some people, using LCD monitors, have set them to other-than-designed resolutions, and they cannot handle that. The result is messy artifacting, and it can REALLY mess up when you have a fine grid like that window screen.
So that may be your answer.
Cool shot, BTW; love it! |

P O R C E L A I Nby pawdrixComment: Dang, I figured this one might have been yours based on location and sense of space, but it's not "typical" Pawdrix. I gave it a 10, along with the park-bench dude, and am disappointed it did not ribbon. Wonderful image. |

Redtail in Flightby cdn1Comment: Dang, what a pity. I will confess I was wondering what lens you had that produced symmetrical vignetting on a square image. Even entertained the thought you might have shot it on a Hasselblad with a digital back :-)
Awesome capture, regardless. |

looking at a parkbenchby cutoutComment: Extraordinary image, got a 10 from me. I'm not surprised it failed in the challenge, but oh boy, what an image :-) |

November 2009by jdannelsComment: Fantastic. 'Grats on the Posthumous blue! I loved this one, gave it an 8. The juxtaposition of the figure with the streetlight is inspired! |
