Deep DOF, Leading Lines, Stop Actionby EpsiComment: Lovely that the tilt of the child so well matches the tilt of the architecture. I don't see this as "Deep DOF" myself. I mean, I *know* it's from "whatever to infinity", but DOF isn't really being a "technique" here, if you catch my drift? It's all nit-picking anyway, pay me no heed. Very nice image. |

Portrait, low key, rule of thirdsby angelo75Comment: Lovely piece of work, but it's not rule of thirds, it's a "centered composition". That her mouth may fall on the upper ROT horizontal line, and her shoulders as well, on the lower one, doesn't over-ride the entirely dominant, symmetrical nature of the image.
Of course, this is neither here nor there in the real world, but I'm afraid in THIS challenge you may be getting dinged for this. Not by me, however. |

Standing Guardby KMcCComment: This is absolutely outstanding. The purity of line & tone is exquisite. Your cropping is spot-on (as SC I have seen the original). Very auspicious start to your DPC journey. Only suggestion: touch up the haloing around the bird's tail in the reflection. Janine can show you how (or, she BETTER be able to anyway) :-) |
