Jones Lake Morningby LawtonComment: I keep *wanting* not to like this one for the way the tone mapping has flattened it, but dammit, it WORKS! Well done! 10 |

Bubblyby NeatComment: This is beautiful. What a strange, bizarre slice-of-life :-) 10 |

Satisfiedby BarbBComment: Compelling portrait of a leaopard. Fascinating how the uper BG almost mimes his dappled spots :-) 10. |

Marlboro Point by DennisheckmanComment: Very, very powerful landscape. Cooked up enough in post to really bring up the power and depth, but not so much as to be ridiculous. 10. |

the 800 blockby ubiqueComment: VERY strong and emotional image. The tension is palpable, or is that serenity masquerading as tension? 10. |

Fawkesby odriewComment: For me this is extraordinarily powerful. I question the use of so much empty sky, because it gives too much emphasis to the texture, and anyway the image crops beautifully to a higher aspect ratio, which the new 1200px allowance makes possible. Anyway, it's very strong and I gave it a 10 on first pass. I have been debating dropping it a point because the composition is bugging me, but what the heck :-) |

Waiting for Godotby MargaretNetComment: I'm an HDR man myself, but this is just too cooked for my taste, the more so because "Waiting for Godot" is a bleak and unrelenting piece of work and, for me, it belongs in the darker end of the light spectrum, so to speak: I'd want the bleak-day-on-the-moors look here, nyself.
Of course, that's just me. It's a heck of a location, a good POV, a dramatic sky, lots to like. If I felt the processing were more apt, it might have been an 8. As it is, a 7. |
