Now What?

Fascinating lighting. Assuming you didn't have some serious flash wotking here, one has to presume fill light bouncing from a building's glass front back into the subjects. The combination of strong backlight with intense fill tends to make this "feel" more posed than candid, but it's a nice shot regardless.

A lot tolike here, but too much subject/ground confusion. If you'd shot thsi wide-open, so the BG were much softer, it would work better I think.

Amusing, but it doesn't stand out for me as particularly effective.

Doesn't feellike a "candid" to me; it's a shot of a clown in a parade. The background faces would be candids, but they're out of focus. Had you made this exact same shot with the clown out of focus and the faces sharp, you'd have a memorable candid, I think.

Feels like it needs for the boardwalk planks to be horizontal, some ccw rotation. The area to the left is not doing a thing; may as wellc rop back to more normal proportions. Nice B/W tonal range.

Quite a shot, but I hate the window/hat conflict and the extreme post-processing takes it out of the reality zone where i personally expect to find a "candid" in residence.

when I crop this as a horizontal, eliminating the price tag and the out-of-focus tiedown, it snaps a whole lot better. Except for the distracting foreground, this one is very nice indeed.

such a nice shot, at core. Oversharpened by a great deal, to the point of producing a halo between figure and ground. the slightly off-center cropping isn't working for me; all that space on the right is not helping the picture. I wish it were a bit more centered, and especially that I could see all of the basket.
