Sanctumby awpollardComment: Sheesh. This is a lovely, serene shot but it is SO not rule-of-thirds. It's split down the middle horizontally, symmetrically mirrored top-to-bottom. The trees on the left are entirely to the left of the first 1/3 vertica lline... Nice shot though :-) |

Surf's Up!by lentilComment: While the surf line lies roughly on a 1/3 horizontalline, the subject of the image is centered; does not answer the challenge to "use rule of thirds" Nice action though :-) |

Now This is a Knifeby paul58Comment: Killer image, pun intended. Beautifully lit. I'm a bit unsure how I feel about the shift in BG behind the handle, but I'm not gonna let it bother me. |

A day on the fieldby letuananhComment: Delightfully understated image, well-rendered. It's good to see such "human" entries in a challenge that heavily favors the abstract. |

Torreby ZoomdakComment: Love the brooding tonalities of this, the heavy, muted blues. I like it very much. |

The Lower Levelby CutterComment: postprocessing artifacts (probably from sharpening) damage this remarkable image. Compositionally it's outstanding. A 7 from me. |
