Color balanceby alexgarciaComment: "Use a colorful impact to offset your subject from the rest of the photograph." In this case, the entire framer is the subject and nothing is being offset, by color or any other means. Nice shot, though :-) |

A small orange object of desireby front_elementComment: Great title! Competent and amusing image, lacks a little wow factor for me, but nice anyway :-) On looking at it further I'm amused by the downvast expression of the small fish and the somewhat leering look of the large fish's eye. |

School's Outby JutildaComment: This would be SO much better if it were rotated ccw to square the vertical lines; there are SO many of them it's very disturbing. Great capture. |

Done for the Winterby dpdaveComment: "Use a colorful impact to offset your subject from the rest of the photograph." There's not really any "rest of the photograph" here, IMO. |

Fire Roseby AlanBesComment: "Use a colorful impact to offset your subject from the rest of the photograph." This is a lovely image of a rose, but the entire frame has been filled with "subject", there is nothing the red is being offset from or by. For that reason this really doesn't answer the challenge, no matter how fine it may otherwise be. A 5 from me, for it is surely colorful so you got half of it :-) |

Green without envyby hutch699Comment: Nice title. I had come into this challenge expecting to feel negative about shots that used a color surround to emphasize a colorless subject, but this shot has sown me it is a perfectly valid approach if used well. Which it certainly is here... |

Red Milk Eruptionby moonwellComment: This is totally bizarre! The title is priceless in its deadpan approach. It gives me a "WTF?" moment. The whole concept here is so off-the-wall I can't stop grinning. Technically, I'm not thrilled, the composition seems off, the whole thing's a tad flat, but you by GAWD have an actual "burst" of color here :-) Good score from me. |

Makes me cookiesby myceliumComment: Your mom is Kathy Bates? Wow! Nice shot :-) Nothing spectacular, but cozy and mothery and good for a high score from me. |
