good portrait. I'd like it if you were more to the right of the shot though. a little more off center. I like your choice for background. definately pretty. I'm not quite sure about the crop right at the knees. did you try a vertical crop with you off to the side of the pic? focus is a little soft, but nothing serious.

that's not your heart. lol The focus on this shot is really soft. I think I was looking forward to more of a face shot, but this still counts as you. I think the lighting towards the lower right is a bit harsh, and also on your finger tips. I think that the jewelry is a bit distracting from the overall shot.

horrible red eye. the posters in the back seem to be more of a focal point that you though. You seemed to have barely squeeked into the shot. tilted background, and upright face seem a little odd to me. Would like to have seen the background stright, or the face tilted with the background. focus and clarity are good though.

Sorry, but I have looked and looked, and I see what looks to be a head shaped rock right in the middle, but I'm not seeing any human beings in this shot. This doesn't give me the impression of a portrait at all. Wish we could have seen you in this shot. Sorry if I'm missing it, but not what I think of when I think Self portrait. I can't even find the 'self'.

This is a wonderful shot of your nostrils, unfortunately, that's not really what I'd prefer looking at. everything is leading straight to the nose, so that is definately the main focal point of the shot. your focus and clarity are good, and the background works nicely for this. nothing distracting there. would have prefered a different angle though.

this cracks me up. focus and clarity are really good. I think that the angle and framing/cropping are just fine as well. humor is way up there. only thing bothering me is the shadow from your chin. otherwise nice.

i can see more of your hair than I can your face. the lighting on your face is a little dark as well. the sharpest focus seems to be on the left side of the photo and your hand. I wish that your face were in focus a bit more. I find the out of focus hair in front of your face a bit distracting. nice to meet you though.

interesting shot. good use of dramatic lighting and contrast. the thing in front of your face though is bothering me cause I can't figure out what the heck it is. I like how you were able to get some highlights in your hair too. overall a very nice shot. I'm not usually fond of these kinds of shots, but this one appeals to me.

the out of focus hand bothers me a bit here. I find it to be a bit of a distraction. I like how you have the black and white on the color reflection(?). Focus and clarity of you is good. lighting is also good on the subject, but again, not on the hand.

Wish we could see your face. I think this photo would take the cake in the Black on Black challenge. So, I hope you took extras. :) I really hope to see one of these in that challenge as well. Excellent use of lighting, focus and angle. I like this shot a lot, just wish we could see that smile. :)
