Touchdown!by johnmComment: Had it not been for the title, I would not be able to even know what this is. Actually, even with the title, I'm not really able to make much out of this. Assuming it's a person with a football. The green color is nice, but this doesn't really show me any action since I really don't know what it is. Sorry if I don't see this the way you do. ~Heather~ |

Break! by wingyComment: Definately cool. One of my favorites. I like how there was a little light reflecting on the balls to make the bright strips that follow the balls. Definately showing some action here, and although I'm not normally a fan of slow shutter speed (simply because it's rarely in interesting situations) I really do like this. And it's nice to see someone who actually knows how to rack. :) |

Don't Look Backby CharlieRComment: I think this is a good action shot, and from browsing through the other shots, one of the best I've seen. I like the slow shutter speed and the color is good. I only wish the surroundings were more black. Overall great shot though. ~Heather~ |

Blurring the boundariesby robsmithComment: not really sure why you went this route. might work for some people I guess but it is not at all appealing to me. The focus is even hindering the color. I would think these would be bright colors, but they really seem muted to me. So it doesn't even have that going for it. The arrangement I think could be appealing, but the blackness in the upper left draws my attention away. |

Untitledby holyjoComment: This looks like it has some funky effect applied. can't say I'm real fond of it. I would much prefer this to have been clearer without the effect. It is a quite powerful image. I like the angle and the background works well too. The edge is very clear, and fits the challenge perfectly in my opinion. |

on the edge of the sidewalkby ullevaComment: I am really not sure what this is...but it looks like a really nasty public restroom floor. While your title does state an edge, this doesn't appeal to me in any way shape or form. Maybe you'd have to be there to really appreciate the true beauty of your sidewalk. If that's so, your photo doesnt do it justice. It does look like filthy bathroom tile. I would have also suggested not doing a perfect horisontal with the 'edge'. Maybe give it some dramatic angle or diagonal or something. |

The Other Sideby surajbharComment: Definately on the edge. I like how this is silhouetted. Very nice. I wish his tail wasn't fuzzy...but I wouldn't expect you to wrestly the goat, shave off his tail and then expect him to stand there while you took pics. lol. It does seem to draw my attention though because the rest of the shot is so sharp, and has defined edges, that the tail is a bit of a distraction. Otherwise, very nice. |

Bordering on the Winter Solsticeby alanfreedComment: This is a very nice shot. Postcard worthy actually. But I'm not seeing anything 'on the edge'. Are you refering to the edge of the roof? I supose with you title, it makes some sense, but I can't really SEE the solstice in your image, or the border OF the solstice for that matter. Focus and clarity are really great. The sky is perfect and I really like this image, just seems kind of loose on the challenge. |

Transitions: Where Water Meets Landby HRoxasComment: I like how you caught the gull right at the edge of where the wave makes it's mark. I think that's quite appropriate for this challenge. Definately different than the roof shots I've seen so far. lol. Although I can live with the shot just as it is, I wonder how it would look had it been a slight bit brighter? That's my only possible suggestion here. |

Winter Wheat Boundaryby scrum8Comment: Well...there is definately an edge here, however, nothing really appealing in the photo. To be perfectly honest, here is what I see... Dead trees, an annoyinly obnoxious white out sky and some soft focus wheat sticking up through some snow. It definately does have an edge though. Unfortunately, I dont think weather was cooperating with you this day. I think it's to blame for the muted colors, and the soft focus. |
