Unfortunately being on SC I had the opportunity to view the original color version of this shot when proof was requested. I have to say I liked the color version better, but don't know if I would have even considered it had I not SEEN the color version. If that makes sense. I like the lines, like the curves, and the pov is interesting. not sure how I feel about the sun beams. They don't seem to follow the angle of the POV, which draws my eyes away from that a bit. Overall though, I think it's a very nice image. ~Heather~

I like the DOF on this shot. Very nice focus and clarity. The lighting is good as well. The subject isn't something I'd personally hang on my wall, but this is technically good non the less. I like the angle and the POV makes this interesting to look at. That's what the challenge is about. ~Heather~

Would look good in the "inside looking out" challenge too. You did a wonderful job of making the glass in focus. clarity is really good. I'm wondering though if there might be just a tad too much of the container in the shot. I want to say that I wish there were less container, but then if there were, would we still be able to tell what was going on in the shot? I'd have to see it to make the judgement. But something to think about anyway. the lighting on the glass is really good. and refreshing looking for sure. a good idea for the challenge. ~Heather~

I guess this could be considered a point of view. My first thought is that point of view is the WAY you LOOK at something, not HOW you SEE something. Very similar, but very different. Either way, this shot doesn't appeal to me in any way. I'm not really finding a point of interest, nor a focal point to rest my eyes on. There isn't really a subject. The darkness obviously triggered a slow shutter speed and I don't think this is an appropriate use of the slow shutter speed. Just not my thing. ~Heather~

Definately a good point of view, which I supose is what this challenge is all about. However, while the POINT OF VIEW is good...the view itself doesn't really appeal to me. It's just a personal opinion, and nothing against the technical aspects of this shot, which are good, but I'm just not drawn into the shot. The one suggestion that I may have though is that the focus seems to be on the mouse butt. Not the best part of the photo in my opinion. Would like to see the cat face in focus instead. The lighting is good, as is the cropping and framing. ~Heather~

I like this angle. I'm glad that the yellow lines don't lead directly to the tower. I think that would have been "too lined up" for my taste. Your focus and clarity are really good, and the foggy look in the background looks kind of cool. Good idea for the challenge. ~Heather~

Unfortunately, the bar from the window is dividing the photo directly down the middle. I think this could have had more visual power had the bar been on a 3rd. Usually, I don't try to push the "rule of thirds" but I do think it could have worked in this shot. Also, while DOF is important, I think that it distracts a little here by making the left curtain oof and the right curtain sharp focus. I like the point of view, and the shot has emotion. Weather it be that you are looking out and glad your inside *which is my feeling* or looking out wishing you were out there. Something to keep an eye on would be your background. If there is a strong horizontal line, try to keep it horizontal. I realize what you did here was to keep the strong vertical line vertical, which is also good, but your tree kind of looks like it's going to slide off the left side of the world. :) Very good idea for the challenge. Good luck. ~Heather~

Without the title, I would have guessed this to be "relax more". It's a very nice photo, and fits the challenge well. I think the colors are great. I especially like the positioning of the chairs within the frame of the photo. It's good to not see them in the center of the photo. Makes it much more interesting to have them off center. ~Heather~ Great shot.

Without the title, I'd have guessed this to be "To have more patience". I think this does fit into the challenge well, unlike a lot of shots that I've seen so far. your focus and clarity are good, and the angle and framing/cropping are good too in my opinion. I like the symetry at the top. It's not perfectly symetrical, however, lined up really well. Overall a great shot. ~Heather~

not sure what your new years resolution is here. to see more snow? less snow? It's an ok photo, but doesn't seem to fit in with the challenge at all. Even your title doesn't give me any type of clue as to what is going on here. sorry if I don't see this the same way you do. ~Heather~
