u wanna ride?by martinaComment: Finally, a blue sky. lol. seeing lots of white blown out skys this time around. you definatley have a rusted subject, and that's good. definately good. It's a photo of a car, but I'm wondering if you could have gotten a more interesting look on it. right now, it's just a shot of a car. could you have gone in and gotten a close up of some rust or taken the car at a different angle, focussing more on one smaller section rather than trying to get the entire car in the photo? focus and clarity look alright, and nothing overly distracting in the background. The part I find most interesting is the rusted visor on the passenger (unless it's a foreign car) side. It really stands out and is rusted. could you have focussed in on that more? ~Heather~ |

Canyon of Decayby dahvedComment: an earring? your background is uninteresting. subject is alright. I like how it's framed by the walls of what ever it's in. I think it's good that the background is blurred, but I don't think that helped much. first thought is that it's too bright. overexposed, I think is the word. focus and clarity on your subject is good, and it is definately rusted. ~Heather~ |

Rustyby cooliakComment: Interesting subject. Definately rusted. I like how you have all of him in the shot. I like the background, and I think that the 'from above' angle is alright too. Focus and clarity are good, and I think that the lighting is what makes the shot. I like how some areas are shadowed and some are brighter. Overall a nice job. congrats. ~Heather~ |

lay down your tracksby PixelproseComment: Too bad the background isn't a bit more interesting. I think this has a lot of potential as a photograph. If only the background were able to be worked with. Firstly, I think that a colored sky would have helped emencely. secondly, maybe if there were leaves on the trees in the back. next, I would pull the weeds that are sticking up into the sky. they are creating vertical lines that don't contrast well with the lines of your tracks. focus and clarity look to be alright. maybe even some DOF could blurr out the background, so it's not so noticable? ~Heather~ |

Oxi-diesby thelselComment: ew. scary thought. lol. I think that the rusted subject is good for the challenge. I like the angle at which you chose to shoot your subject. Nice to see it not head on. focus and clarity are really good. the light glares actually add to the photo for me, I think it balances out nicely with the 2 bright spots. I do wish that the dark shadow near the right side were lighter, but not bad as is. Overall nice shot. ~Heather~ |

As an old castle...by lisarelComment: I like the angle here. Nice and dramatic. I also like the rusted color on the blue background. Nice diagonals and lines. I guess my only complaint would be the white area near the bottom, doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the photo. Otherwise, focus and clarity are really good. LIghting looks like it was cooperating with you on this day, and subject is interesting enough. Nice shot. ~Heather~ |

Rustoleum needed!by DustyComment: The ruse doesn't really stand out to me here. Unless it's the side panels of the tracks that are rusted. I like the angle, and the subject is definately interesting to look at. It looks like it never ends. The bright white out sky is a bit of a distraction. Overall though, nice shot of the bridge. ~Heather~ |

Holdingby paynekjComment: Very nice. I think your DOF is wonderful. The in focus subject with the out of focus background works great. Nothing distracting in the background. Focus on your subject is great. I like the angle at which you took the photo and also the crop you chose. Definately a rusted subject, fits the challenge perfectly. Very nice shot. ~Heather~ |

Rust and Farming: Inseparableby kposeyComment: Your focus seems quite soft here. I think that I would prefer this to have a sharper focus throughout the photo. Especially since it's a 'sharp' subject. The rust does look good on the green grass. I wonder what would happen if you upped the saturation a slight bit? Definately a rusted subject and fits the challenge nicely. The bright white sky is a bit of a distraction, too bad you couldn't have caught some blue there. ~Heather~ |

`C` of Spikesby wilksComment: I love the shadows. I think that is what makes this photo for me. I also like the rusted color on the blue background. The angle at which you chose to shoot your subject is dramatic and adds much interest to the shot. Focus and clarity are really good, and I think that the lighting is not only perfect, but is what really makes the photo. Very nice rusted subject. ~Heather~ |
