My First Canonby incubusComment: I guess in my personal opinion, an 'extreme close up' wouldn't show the entire subject. This is a nice photo of your first cannonthough. Nicly lit and focus and clarity are good as well. I think that extreme close up would be a photo of one of the buttons, or the mic area or something. The photo itself is nice though, just maybe not the best for this challenge. That's just my opinion. ~Heather~ |

Macro-Tiniby DCThiessenComment: After looking at this for awhile, I think I've decided that it's just not my thing. I tried, I really did, but after a lot of consideration, without trying to be mean, I just don't like it. There's some goofy lines and smudgy looking marks throughout the glass and to me that seems odd and out of place. The one that stands out to me most is near the bottom center of the photo in the 'green/red' upside down V, there is a horizontal 'invisible' line going through it chopping it in a strange way. the colors are interesting, but all of the color is soft focus, and I'd like to see it crisper focus. This is just my own personal opinion though. ~Heather~ |

Wovenby MR_PComment: Very nice detail. Love the way we can see the little fibers. This is definately an extreme close up in my opinion. I like the diagonal lines, and how and where you placed the subject within the frame is great. I think the border is good too. I dont usually comment on borders, but yours compliments the image nicely. Lighting is also nice. Overall great capture! ~Heather~ |

The Noseby ryceComment: The nose, the eyes, the head and half the body. Not sure if i'd personally consider this 'extreme' close up, but that's just MY opinion. I do like the dog, and the focus and clarity on the nose seem ok. The lighting though is a bit dark on the nose. Of course, black is hard to photograph in situations like this, but There is not definition of what is his mouth and what is his nose. Not sure if a fill flash might have helped or not, but worth a try. Cute dog, I like how his nose is sticking out of the bars. ~Heather~ |

God Bless Youby plumber711Comment: Not really sure of the purpose of the cross over top of the watch. Was it made this way? Strange and definately not my style. Also not sure why you close the long shutter speed? Maybe there is a religoius connection that I'm missing by not being of this religion? I don't think that the long shutter speed is noticable enough to make a big difference in the photo, however, just noticable enough to be a distraction. See what it does to the 7? Makes it look all garbled, but you can't really see the hand. Lighting seems like it could have been better. Check out this tutorial here for some tips on lighting. //www.dpchallenge.com/how.php?HOW_ID=8 I think that might help out a bit in the event of a reshoot on this. Focus seems good. ~Heather~ |

Timeby PaulMdxComment: Good sharp crips focus. Nice DOF as well. Crisp where it needs to be. I like the lighting, the light reflections are appealing to me in the little circles. I like the placement of the subject within the frame. I don't really have any complaints about this shot. Definately extreme close up in my opinion. Nicely done! ~Heather~ |

It's all about the L!by arnitComment: As this was loading on my computer from top to bottom, I got a little scared that nothing was in focus. lol. I think you did a good job with DOF. (or editing) whichever. The dust spots are a bit of a distraction to me, but nothing major. Good extreme close up, maybe not my preference of subject, however, still very nicely done. The angle at which you chose to photograph your subject is very nice too. Not too centered like i'm running across a lot of this challenge. ~Heather~ |

Autumn Leafby gandersComment: Definately an extreme close up. Focus and clarity seem ok. I like the lighting and color as well. I'm wondering if you couldnt have found a more interesting angle, like maybe the base of the 'V' coming out of the corner or something. seems a bit too centered for my personal taste. Overall though, nice detail. ~Heather~ |

A byte for lunchby medinfo2000Comment: Not really very appealing. Definately not a photo I'd hang on my wall. A close up? Sure. Lighting seems a bit harsh. The can seems dark in places, but your bread is blown out. Way too bright on the bread. Not sure I like the keyboard in the background, doesn't seem to add anything to the photo for me. Focus also seems a bit soft. Moreso on the bread than the can. ~Heather~ |

Shocked!by Toby-DogComment: This isn't the best eye pic I've seen in the challenge, but it isn't the worst either. Which makes this just another eye shot. Definately a good shot. Great focus and clarity. The angle and framin/cropping are good. I do like how in this shot we can see the tips of the eyelashes. Lighting is also good. Technically very well done, my only complaint is the originality in this challenge. ~Heather~ |
