It's a little difficult to see the fly swatter in detail. I almost didn't see it until I noticed the shadow from it. I think it would be better to either see all of it at an angle where it is recognizable, or to just see the shadow. These don't look like swatted flies though. lol. Black and white works here. Your angle and framing are very nice here. I like the kind of stop motion of the water. I can see the coffee going right down the drain. Not the typical garbage photo, which is nice. Lighting is good, with the exception of one bright spot on the sink in the upper left, but i've photographed sinks, and well...they do that. lol. Overall a very nice job. Pretty cool. Definately creative and original. I really like the purple glow here. Your angle and framing/cropping are also quite nice. There is something about the light source though. I think I wish that it weren't quite so obvious of the light source, maybe have it just be glowing without the obvious location of the light. I'm sitting here wondering how you managed to get the garbage in focus and the flowers so out of focus. It seems to me that these flowers might be a kind that is just hard to capture properly? Your garbage can is crooked. I know...you're thinking. "is that all she has to say? what a stupid comment". But it is the first thing that stood out to me. Then the really cool effect with the can. Must have been a pain in the neck to shoot that to get it right. So see, that is the only thing I really have to complain about. The garbage can is crooked. At first this confused me, but then I realized that it looks like we are looking into the cup through the bottom, like we are inside the cup. That is pretty cool. Interesting way to do this. The perspective is really nice. I think that the focus and clarity could be better, but then again, I don't know the difficulty in taking a shot like this. Looks like the crayons when my 2 year old is done with them. I have tried to photograph crayola crayons, and found it very difficult because the wrappers are textured and look grainy when shot. Other than the fact that the blue crayon is perfectly new, the shot is flawless. I'm not counting down cause of the new crayon, it's just a strange observation. Your focus and clarity on the wrappers is excelent. we can see the fibers. I like the DOF, and the angle and framing/cropping are also great. very nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
