Misty Mountainsby falveyComment: Wow. Interesting. Looks like a really big cotton blanket draped over the hills. The angle and framing/cropping is excelent. i love the color. subtle, but still there. The focus and clarity is nice for this shot, in my opinion. It's kind of soft, but I think it works nicely here. Very nice view, and great landscape. Good luck in the challenge. |

Lanscape became Cityscapeby jgillardComment: Did you take this with a wide angle lens? Your buildings are strangely tilting inward. That sometimes happens with wide angle lenses. Not much landscape, but i understand your point. The sky is a nice color. The photo doesn't make me jump out of my seat with excitement, however it is very nicely done. Good focus and clarity, nice color, and the framing/cropping are alright as well. it's nice how you have the trees framing the edges of the photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

Sunset on the horizonby xertionComment: I'm not too fond of the powerlines, but the sunset is very pretty. I like the colors, and this silhouettes are good. Focus looks good. Angle and framing/cropping are alright as well. The powerlines look like they are tilting. Could just be an illusion or something, but I think that's why they bother me a bit. Nice view. Good luck in the challenge. |

THE BARN IN GLENWILLOWby STEINRComment: Kind of a dreary day, but I like the colors. The darkness works for me. Focus and clarity are great, and the angle and framing/cropping are good as well. I like how you have included the road in the pic, and the fence also. Nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Abandoned to the Cold Prairieby jimmspComment: Would a very slight left rotation mess up the angle of the building? If not, I'd like to see the horizon line leveled off a bit. There is a horizontal line in the field, so it makes the tilt look worse than it really is, so I don't really think it's a big deal. I love the use of black and white here. Levels are nice. Focus and clarity are also great. Good luck in the challenge. |

at sunriseby BeeGeeComment: Not really quite sure what to say here. The buildings are straight, but the 'horizon' line is falling off the left side of the photo. Is there a hill out there or something? If you straightened up the horizon, your buildings would be tilting, so while I'm not really fond of the tilted horizon (or the LOOK like the horizon is tilted) I really can't say to rotate to the right, cause then the buildings would be off. The sunset is really pretty, and the silhouettes are nice as well. Good luck in the challenge. |

McAlpineby jbolingComment: I know that the unlevel look is due to the curve of the shore line, but I think that a right rotation would still help this a bit. It would level the tree line in the back, making it look more 'uniform', if there is such a thing. The color is very nice. I like how the sky is just a bit lighter than the reflection of the sky. Focus and clarity are good. The view would be much prettier in summer or fall, but some silly people chose this challenge in winter. lol. Good luck in the challenge. |

Place of stillnessby vjozComment: Did you chose black and white cause the sky was white and blank? I'm seeing white sky in a lot of shots this week. must be the weather. Anyway, I like the choice for black and white, and I think that is makes the white sky not so bad. It's a lovely mountain. Looks like a pyrimid. I like the angle and framing/cropping you chose as well. Having the sign in the front, although I have no idea what it says, is very nice. GOod shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Seasonsby auroraComment: Wow. That is really really amazing. Beautiful landscape. I love everything about this really. Angle and framing/cropping, focus and clarity, lighting. Everything. It's wonderfully divided. The sky is beautiful too. Great color. Nothing I would like to see differently. Great shot. Good luck in the challenge. 10 |

Solitudeby stephanComment: Nice way of framing the left of the photo with the tree. The angle and framing/cropping are great in my opinion. The barn looks very lonely, and so it's titled well. Focus and clarity are good. I like the black and white. Does it have a slight color tint? or are my eyes playing tricks on me. The lighting conditions look like they were good. no distracting hot spots or shadows. nice landscape. Good luck in the challenge. |
