I'm not really sure what the stuff is at the bottom of the shot, but it's not really pleasing to look at. The photo fits the title, and the fire is definately interesting, but the whole shot just doesn't hold my attention.

Is NG border orange, or yellow? I thought it was yellow, but I'm not really sure. anyway, beautiful shot. I love the focus and clarity. Very good detail even in the leaves of the trees. Not all blurry. I think it stands out very nicely on the sky. perfect angle for filling the frame.

the cliff is very pretty, but I'm afraid that the trees and hill on top don't really add much to the shot. I think the focus is soft on the trees, cause we can't get much detail out of them, they kind of blurr together. I really like the bottom 1/2 though.

Lighting is quite bright to the bottom right of this rose. The shadow under the rose is also very distracting. Pretty colors.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't really care for this image. I'm not even really sure what the heck it is.
I mean, it says volume, but it doesn't show what the volume is. It could be turned way down to 1 for all I can tell. There are little blotches all over the place which COULD be the volume markers, but can't really see any specifically pointing at a number. So this doesn't really imply sound to me.
I don't think that this would appeal more to me had the subject been off center, but it's worth a shot. Maybe some dramatic angle would add a bit of interest to this.
The focus appears to be good on the numbers, however, I'm not positive, cause the post processing made a LOT of grainy noise on this shot.
I think that the colors are good together, but as a whole, they just don't seem to fit in together. Can't even tell that there is a CD anywhere in your shot, and had you not mentioned it, I would never have known.
Overall, this just isn't my kind of thing.

The overall redness of this is a little strange and I don't think I find it very attractive. I have to wonder where it's coming from. It doesn't seem like it would be just red reflection off the car, cause the color is on top, and the red 'glow' is under the car.
The fact that the end of the pipes seem to be soft in focus, kind of bothers me as well. I'd like that part to be the sharpest. The overall focus looks ok, but the end of the pipes just seems soft.
Havig just put dual flowmasters on our car, I can definately see how this relates to sound. I wish this were an older vette though, might have been even 'louder'.
The angle and framing/cropping is just fine to have gotten the exhaust in the shot. I think maybe I would have cropped the white line around the top though. Looks like reflection, but I think that it's a distraction. If you cover it up, see how it brings your eyes right down to the belly of the car?

The lighting here is quite a bit too bright for me. I think it overpowers the flowers a bit.
I'm not sure if the lighting has anything to do with it, but the focus is also generally quite soft. I think in a close up shot like this, I'd prefer some sharp focus so that we can get a lot of detail out of it.
The background, even though blurred shows enough pattern to clash badly with the busy patterns in the flowers. I think that blurring backgrounds is very effective, but because of the strong pattern in your background, I think that it only adds to the busy-ness, rather than making the background non distracting.
The bee does blend in quite a bit with the flowers here, and I don't think that he's being particularily noisy. he's landed, and his wings are clearly not moving here. I do see how this COULD portray sound though, and when I think of bees, their buzz goes right along with.
Overall too busy for my personal taste.

This is definately noisy. I think it fits in with the challenge very nicely.
I do think though that something is missing. something to grab my attention and hold it here. I'm not really seeing anything that is too exciting.
The angle and framing/cropping appear to be ok. You captured it so it looks noisy, and I think that had you not taken this from a little 'from above' angle, i don't think it would have worked as well to portray sound.
The overall blurriness is not working for me. I realize that you did it to give the impressin that the water was moving, and it did that well, but I do wish SOMETHING were in focus. Even if it were just the 'sea foam' stuff that were in focus. Anything really. Something to draw our attention to.
I find the little angled streaks near the bottom left to be a bit distracting. They are brighter than the background they are on, and stand out a lot. They look like little stray drops of moving water.
Anyway, good shot for sound.

I almost didn't notice the motion blurr, but I was trying to figure out where the sharpest focus was, and couldn't find it, but then found the motion blurr.
I wish that more of the clock were in focus, and that the motion blurr stood out a bit more. As is, it's not really obvious enough to stand out at us as the main part of the photo. Also, the numbers on the clock being a bit oof bother me a bit.
The angle and framing/cropping are good. I like how you centered the clock, but also like how you took the shot from a little bit of a 'from above' angle. This gives it a bit of visual appeal.
I'm not really sure about the reflections in the clock. The one on the right bell looks like a reflection of the photographer, and it looks like the photographer is holding the camera, or at least touching it. If this is true, had you set the camera down on something to avoid any camera shake, the actual clock could have turned out a bit sharper.
I think that this fits nicely into the Sound challenge and portrays it very well.

Not really my kind of thing, but the effect did turn out kind of cool. The way it looks like it's got motion blurr is interesting.
The color is really nice. rich looking. Not dulled or dark. I think that the lighting on this was good to bring out the color and also the detail in the lettering.
I think it's good how the subject fills the entire frame. Nothing distracting in the shot at all.
Focus and clarity look ok for being shot through the honey, you still got some crisp lines on the lettering and I think that is a good thing.
Not really much else to say. While I think it's technically well done, it just doesn't personally appeal to me.
