HMF_8309.jpgby hannekeComment: Wow. That exposure is perfect! I've always said that with LB exposure is more important than focus, and I've secretly wondered if I was really correct. This shows me that I was. It's simple, but remarkably lovely. If this is really your first LB shot, please don't forget to post some more! |

romanticoby cginoComment: One of the best things about this side challenge (no ... THE best thing) is that the experience was so unexpectedly intimate. I don't mean anything inappropriate by that, but I mean that somehow the LB was an excuse for most of the participants to be very generous with the view they allowed into their own personality and mind. I liked yours a lot. Message edited by author 2009-01-30 20:05:55. |

Enigmaby GermaineComment: This is so deeply absorbing! The way the woman is rendered (relative to the men) makes her more clearly a witness rather than a participant. The guy with the visible elbow has a fish hooked and the rest are watching him play the fish. One of them (at least) has put aside his own fishing rod in order to watch (the reel of which is visible on the bench at extreme right). The bird under the bench is watching as well, probably with a growing anticipation of a chance at some choice scrap from the battle. I like it all, even the weird green/red hue. And the horizon is perfect! |

one for meby grigrigirlComment: Holy Smoke! The curtain is just about to go down on this LB month when you pop up from behind the shrubbery and hit us with this! A buzz of "Crikey!" and "WTF?" runs through the crowd. It's lovely. Looks like one of those beautiful ink and wash illustrations, and the pale magenta tone completes that happy illusion. I suppose it's a bride with veil, but I see a mantilla. I also hear flamenco music, I think. |

Wind oweby ZigomarComment: Looks like Germaine's stuff. The lighted windows & the human shadow are good enough on their own, but add in that big round lollipop shadow & it's super duper. The person (woman?) seems to be looking at the sign. Waiting for the right moment, which may never come. I like this a lot. |

Sixby ZigomarComment: I liked "16" better. A bigger number. Full bodied. More generously flavored. Great 'legs'. |

Xby ZigomarComment: She looks like she can tango. Lev's nuts about the tango.
One of the best LB portraits, BTW. |
