It's a beautiful photograph. It is rare to see this kind of thing done with genuine (rather than simulated) pathos. The three seem merged into one by the bonds between them. 8.

Silos

This is one of those photographs that grows, expands, as you look at it. For such a simple composition, it is very sophisticated. The twin silos standing stark and splendid like a minor installation on another planet. The stop sign suggests a rail crossing. And the road makes a kind of sweeping salute to this lonely outpost before resuming its relentless crawl to the horizon. And on the low hill, just in the corner, is a hint of a settlement. Probably the people who feed these hungry silos. Very fine picture. 8.
