This is such a great portrait. It really expresses the relation between the person and his dog. The lighting & exposure is very good. Background looks very cool and in balance with the foreground because of warmth & the angle at which the sun illuminates it. In a way it helps to express the warm relation between the two.

The detail in this shot is stunning. Excellent lighting and camera work. Good colors and the water gives it just that extra punch to make it a wow picture.
Shared 1st in my list. :)

That must taste great!
Nice clean image, good lighting, could use some improvement in the composition. Perhaps the glass slightly off-center.
Good depth.

Made me laugh, good lighting. With the corn in the front a smaller aperture wouldn't hurt though. The pattern of the glass fits the pattern of the corn. Nice.

Good photo, cool subjects. :)
Would be interesting to see what it looks like at a more sideways angle, could improve the composition somewhat and create a more even lighting, it is pretty strong from the right at the moment, but the baby's leg area is well exposed.
Perhaps some more room in the fron't some space to step into, crop is tight.

Great photo!
It makes me feel thirsty, it makes me wanting to make a fruit drink myself. :)
I like the composition, the colors are good, sharpness is ok. The green leaf makes it more interesting and complete. The glare from the fruit makes it look fresh and healthy.
The only thing it could do without is the reflection on the glass, haven't used my polarizer filter enough yet to know if that could take it away. This is my highest rated picture though. ;)

Composition (content)

The right side looks really nice, red vs green and the interesting foliage. On the left side I'd rather see some more of the plant or none at all. Problem of a tighter crop is that you get such a stretched in height image. That could be overcome by cutting of the gulf-patterned part of the roof and leaving only the carrying part. I just tried it and I don't think it hurts the photo much.

Camera Work (Technical)
Good exposure and focus. Sharpness needs dome post-processing. The wide aperture has caused the roof to be out of the field of focus. 1/800s is enough to step up to F2.8 @ 1/400s or F4 @ 1/200s. Colorbalance is great.

Digital Processing (technical)
The only improvement I can think of is some unsharp mask. I tried 140% 0.4 1 on it and it looked much sharper. But sharpness is a personal preference, perhaps that you like the soft look more.

My opinion
Good, but lacks punch.

Composition (content)

The power of this image is in the shadows. They create extra dimensions. Therefore it would be interesting to see the whole shadowgame. I wonder if this was done on purpose, is it part of the art, is it coincedence lighting from the auction hall owner?
Because of the shadows I think that a landscape view would have worked better, the lower part of the portrait view is just empty and on smaller resolutions it stretches the image beyond the 600-explorer and Start bar pixels making people scroll, scroll for nothing.
The labels are little spoilers, but you cannot pull them off. You should have bought it! ;)
The subject is shot at a nice non-centered angle, works well.

As this is someone else's art it would be nice to tell who made it to in a way give some kudos to the creater. Selling this could get you into trouble for copyright violaton in most countries. Just a thought.

Background
Nice clean orange provides a good background for the shadows and finds some balance in the figure's pants.

Camera Work (Technical)
Good choice of aperture and ISO to keep the shutter handholdable.
Focus and exposure is good, but the sharpness is on the soft side. I don't think that that is a problem in this picture.

Digital Processing (technical)
When it is cropped from a much larger image, try a landscape view with more shadows. The submitted picture could benefit from a tighter crop in height. I wonder what some unsharp masking would do.

My opinion
Cool subject, a lot of potential for a great photo.
