Opposite Worldsby the-O-sterComment: Great idea, the composition is good, lighting ok and duotoning (I guess) very good. I think that if the man in front hadn't been there that a square composition (the right cut off) might have worked stronger.
Shame that the dowtown sign is out of the field of focus. A smaller aperture (+bumped up ISO to not let the motion blur get out of hand) would have helped here. Choosing a nearer focus point sometimes does the trick as well.

A Classic Rivalry!by LENWOODBLUZComment: Great composition, lighting & colors. I like it as it is, don't see how it could be improved. The grainy look in the whites and yellows makes it look classic.
I wonder how you lit the cans up, from the inside? |

Ideological Opposites from 1860's American Historyby digitaldaveComment: I don't like many flag photos, but this is a good one. Good composition (positioning/ use of lines), well chosen theme. In relation to the stars and stripes the other one's lighting is a bit off, but perhaps that is also due to the dark colors of the flag itself, I don't know. Good work. |

Strong AND Weakby MotoCycleBoiComment: As a thumb it looked pretty weak, so I had to check out why I had given it an eight. :) Now I know.
I like the backlighting and detail/color of the hair. Her look is a as strong as the 'blade' she is holding. The background gives it a feeling that this was near some battlefield out in the country. The blue sky reflection on the steel enhances the steel look.
Nice work. |

full / emptyby redmoonComment: Great color, it warms the scene up. Lighting (backlight?) is almost perfect, I like the color/tone gradation on the left glass. The reflections on the right are mildly distracting (in a members challenge you could spot edit that away), that could be avoided by avoiding all light from behind you I think. |
