Bulldozerby welcherComment: Great perspective, I like it how the background tells about the area he is playing in. Good how the sky gives space. Like the toning. |

The Stairwellby riotspyneComment: This may sound strange, but I like it how the technical quality (sharpness and exposure) of the photo fits the rough and filthy staircase. Sure, there are some blowouts on the armchairs, but I think that that is one of the charms of this photo. The colors are great. 8 |

The Cloud Factoryby e301Comment: Looks like Nothern England or Ireland.
I like the greens and the patterns of the fields, it's always nice to see how some of the fields pop out in the sunlight and others remain in the shadows. The dartk tone in the sky works well to force the viewer downwards. The factory breaks the serenity of the landscape and gives the photo a good impact. Nice work! |

Monaby cbellerComment: I think that is a nice portrait, but the lighting is a bit even, a lack of shadows to give dimension. The way the body stands out from the dark background is good, but at the head it becomes busy in the background and that distracts a bit. |

give us a kissby arngrimurComment: This feels so Scandinavian. You know, as soon as I land and enter the new terminals on Arlanda airport at Stockholm I feel so restful and peaceful. Same thing happens at the airport in Kopenhagen and in many buildings in Sweden, Finland and Norway. This photo has the same effect. I love the idea, the light from the bowl, the soft quiet background and the clarity. Good photo, I had it marked as an 8, but am bumping it up to a 10. |

Gone Fishin'by KonadorComment: Great capture, without the fish in his mouth it would have much less impact. Fortunately there is also some motion blur in the wings and the waterdrops just spatter from his feet. The sea provides a good background and it is positive that there isn't much glare and reflection on it.
These are such wonderful birds and this is a very good portrait of one of them. |

Untitledby jmsetzlerComment: I hate flag shots and I hate solidier portraits because often they are so poorly done. But this is excellent! I like it how the face pops out from between the flags, the elements in the photo work together and help to tell the tale. B&W is very suitable here. |

"Peace" taken 9-11by JPRComment: Great documentary shot. I like the dark mood and how the man in the foreground interacts with the viewer. His white shirt makes him stand out. |
