But it IS red. Isn't there red licorice and black licorice? Sorry for missing the oxymoron here. Guess I'll have to look it up... This is an interesting subject to use for an image and has much potential. The diagonal lines are great, the lighting is a little harsh, and overall it could be sharper (better focused). That's a cool bench! I'd like one of those. :D Ok, serious now. This is a nice emotive shot that fits the oxymoron theme you've selected. With or without the title, this shot could stand on it's own merit as a photograph of interest. That, to me, is substantial. Only nit is I wish the bench, far left, wasn't blown out, but that's minor in the overall scope of things. Good luck in the challenge.

Really. Either you're wet, or you're not. :) Image is "ok". Well focused and exposed properly. Composition is fine. Still looks a little like a snapshot. Stop vehicle. Get out. Stand in middle of the road, and take picture. :D Perhaps another time of day for more dramatic lighting? Did you try any shots from a lower or higher elevation? Guess you'd have to stand on the car for a higher one. Still... Anyway, good luck in the challenge.
