Spot the Spotsby TimComment: Wow. Great potential here. Why does it seem that the outer edge details are much sharper than the central eye area? Clever idea. Good luck. |

Feeling Strange? Use Spot-Ex!by scaramangaComment: Well, of all the spotted faces I've seen so far, this one is the best yet. Very sharp and well presented with good exposure/lighting. Good luck. |

Floatingby traserComment: I think the piece you wanted the viewers to key in on is the lily pad that is upended in the water - yes? If that's the case, why did you not set the focus there. Instead, the focal point is on the pads in front of it.
If this had a deeper range (higher aperture) to it, it would score much higher. The plan is good, the subject is fairly strong, the composition is simple enough and laid out correctly, and the color is fantastic.
Good luck in the challenge. |

Dare me?by bmartuchComment: This is cute and has potential. Biggest distraction is the white balance, it's way too warm and yellow - should be white. Had you adjusted this in post-processing using color temp, or set your white balance manually at the time of capture, this photo would be much stronger. |

In the gardenby tinky2Comment: Good representation of spots. Looks like this got pushed pretty hard in post-processing. It's over sharpened and appears to have some major noise reduction applied. The focal point is too far back to get the "face" of the butterfly in focus (gets crisp at the front edge of the wings). Nothing personal, just some observations. Good luck in the challenge. |

Nature's Ink Blotsby DefyTimeComment: Ok. I give. What IS it?! Tree bark fungus or something? Interesting pattern in an abstract way. Good luck in the challenge. |

Candy Spotsby ThaiComment: Maybe it's the lighting, but this seems flat. The subject is "ok", but not anything really exciting to look at. JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |
