Very clever! I love it. You probably could have cropped it even just a tad tighter, but it's fine as is. The glass block edge makes a great natural frame for this. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Wouldn't have known what this is without the title - which is fine given the challenge is 'Abstract'. The tone and detail in this image is right on the money. DOF is very good and I love the curve of the stem coming into the image. Given a forum thread I read earlier I'd hazard a guess as to who's image this is. I didn't know Bears ate garlic! If I've guessed wrong - please pardon my extra verbiage. ;^)

This is a wonderful shot! I love the way the light and shadows play here. Almost adds a sense of motion to the image. You did a very nice job with this contrasty scene in getting the exposure correct.

Should have rotated this right 90 so the 'Abyss' was something to slide into rather than up to. Just seems more natural to go left to right, top to bottom. JMHO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

Cute, but I'd rather have the image do the talking instead of the title. Concerning the image, it would have helped to use some bounced light coming from the bottom right to eliminate the shadows some. The yellow paper could pop a bit more too with better lighting and/or exposure. Good luck in the challenge.
