The Dirt Dweller -- A Portrait Of A Worm In His Environmentby JeniYComment: Wonderful tone and texture in this photo. This is an image I can appreciate. May not be glamorous enough for the masses when it comes to scoring, but it's a well thought out shot. Only minor negative for me on this is I think you should have moved the camera a little to the right as the bottom right corner of the photo is falling OOF. Bottom left is sharp. Of course that is assuming you didn't crop the left side off. Upper right doesn't matter as much because the eye isn't drawn into that corner like it is the bottom left. Yikes. That's a lot of verbiage for a "minor" complaint! :D Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Zebra 3by izaktaylorComment: Hi. Just wanted to say this image (from the thumbnail view) made me take a look. For quite a while I was stumped as to what I was seeing in the OOF area to the left. At first I thought the ear of the OOF zebra was an eye and the optical illusion was quite compelling! :D
Cool shot - some of the others you've posted are nice also, but no time to slow down much right now to browse. Take care. |

Shaken, not stirred. (Goldfinger)by dogzComment: Ok. Admit it, you were just jumping up and down with glee to be able to do this setup weren't you? :D I have no idea if it fits James Bond or not, but it's certainly a well done "splash" type shot. Good luck. |

007 License To Killby Mr_BondComment: Nice work with the setup. Certainly mimics the James Bond look just fine. Something funny with the post-processing I think as there is a distinct shadow around the man. Most likely from feathering a selection and getting some bleedover from the prior background? Just a guess. Anyway, good luck with the challenge. |

A View to a Killby cryingdragonComment: Some potential here with the idea. The pupil and iris are clear, but the remainder of the photo is a bit noisy/grainy. Just not "clean" enough for the "wow" factor IMO. The lines above and below the pupil are somewhat distracting as well. All JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

A View To A Killby SheryllComment: Good use of props available to generate an image for this challenge. I like the way you've put the pieces together for this (toy car position, and "gunman" position). There seems to be a couple issues with the background area. The toy car is quite noisy in places, like you did some burning and it introduced some noise. The foreground black is fairly solid yet the areas in front and over the car look to show some selectioning leftovers and aren't solid black as they should be. All JMO of course. Probably doomed from the beginning with the use of toy pieces. Anyway, good luck in the challenge. |

Goldeneye: The Next Generationby jeroweComment: Clever and creative. I'm sure you've heard that one a few times by now. :D It's quite a fun photo. Nice job of getting a solid portrait to begin with. I like your choice of composing him within the frame - works well with the angle, off-centering, and including what you have of his face and head. The black background was a smart choice for isolating the subject and eliminating any distractions. Finally, a wonderful job of post-processing the eyes for this unforgetable image. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

GoldFin(ger) - Shaken, not stirredby timfythetooComment: Ok, I'm familiar with the movie title, but haven't seen it. Is there really a fish in a martini glass? I think you're having a little fun here aren't you? :D It's actually a pretty cool photo and it's one of my top picks for this challenge. You did a nice job with the lighting and it's certainly sharp enough. Should do ok for you both in the challenge and as a print or stock photo. Good luck. |
