This is strange. The girl being in B/W and then having a blue background - feels unnatural. You did a great job catching the water droplets - very clean and crisp. Anyway, that's my two cents. ;^) Good luck.

I'd like to see the bottom of the glass to believe it. ;^) Interesting bokeh in the background - very defined instead of circular. Curious as to your lens... Concerning 'Stopped Motion', the theme of this challenge, you've stopped the motion just fine as far as the water and straw go - really think you should have let the whole thing go (seriously this time). A little cropping off the right side might have added to the dynamic of this image. Good luck in the challenge.

My goodness. Three people to track your progress for a motorcycle license nowadays?! That Nighthawk is a decent bike...almost bought one of those years ago. Went with a KZ 550 instead. ;^)

Anyway...about your image. It's fine. You've done a good job of stopping the motion quite well as is evident by the tires and spokes. One of the better true "Stopped Motions" in the challenge thus far in my viewing. The content of the image is ok. Not anything really exciting or super unique here that is going to wow the voters. Nothing personal, just an observation. The technicals are fine. The subjects are placed strategically, not too much distraction in the background, exposure is good (the white on the wht/grn shirt is close to being over), image is sharp and noise free. Did you play with this in B/W just to see how it looked? Just a thought.

Good luck in the challenge, and tell your friend on the bike (if it's someone you know) to drive careful! ;^)

Hey! That's nice and sharp. Good job of stopping the motion - mostly. Is that an air conditioning unit in the background? Doesn't matter...just taking a guess. ;^) Best of luck to you in the challenge.

This is a cool shot. Nice job of capturing that leap! Not quite as sharp as it could be, but it's still a nice image. Also seems a little grainy/noisy. Great color - love the blue. Good luck in the challenge.

I find my eyes traveling the entire length of this image to take it in and finally coming to rest on the bow of the boat - not sure if that's good or bad. ;^) For some reason a good portion of this image seems soft, a little OOF or camera shake? The lighting also seems a bit harsh from strong midday sunlight. Early or late in the day can help add a little drama and impact. As for stopped motion, yes, it's stopped - I don't really associate sailing as something challenging to capture with concerns about speed, etc... That's just my first thought - right or wrong. Hopefully that's not impacting the voters and my thoughts are of the minority. Good luck in the challenge.

Looks like a fun event to attend. Concerning your image, the background is way too busy and distracts from your primary subject. The owl is a little blurry (hard to freeze motion coming toward you). I don't know...overall, "ok", "fine", just not a big "WOW" in there. Sorry. Good luck in the challenge.

Squish! Time for new white bg material. ;^) Image is fine. Certainly stopped the motion...the spray is well defined and sharp. Nice to see a hammer being used on something other than a lightbulb - I'll give you creative points for that. He-he. Good luck.

Can't tell if the water is going in or coming out of his mouth. ;^) I guess that's good - means you've stopped the motion very well. Black and White is fine although it seems the range is a little short, leaning heavier toward the dark end of the scale. Good luck in the challenge.

This is very nice. Staged or not, it's a great capture and meets the theme of the challenge head on. You've done a wonderful job with exposure and getting a nice sharp image. The color tone selected works quite well and the range is well covered. Congratulations on a job well done!
