Run Itby JunieMoonComment: Those ducks must have really been moving! I say that because the water spray is frozen by the shutter speed, yet the ducks are blurry. You have pretty good color in the area around the ducks, and the rocks are nicely detailed and sharp. Good luck in the challenge. |

What's Left Of Meby posthumousComment: I like the tones and processing on this. Works well for this photo. The title you've picked wouldn't have been my first choice. I associate that title more with a person rather than an object. Just my take on it. Good luck in the challenge. |

Buttonsby lantagaComment: This is a wonderful idea for a still life photo. Natural lighting is nice and the composition overall is fine. Biggest factor in scoring impact is that the image isn't that well focused. Seems a little blurry. One other thing is some fill light (bounced light from a white poster board would work great with that natural light) would help in the lower left of this image.
All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

[low] temperatureby yianisnComment: Very frosty indeed! I love the wind-blown snow on the leftmost branch. Looks like you could have a little sharper detail (snow crystals) but it's not far off the mark. The background has a bluish cast, which actually works ok to portray the cold, not sure about the haziness, thinking that it might be nice to have reduced that a little with a UV filter. JMO of course. :) Overall, a splendid image. Well done! |

Walk Awayby dcyoungComment: I love the image at first glance for the very nice use of minimalism and the use of leading lines. In addition, this composition does a nice job of using the rule of thirds in the placement of the trees, plaza area, and road. Good eye to see and capture this photo. Couple of issues I have that are holding this back are 1) sizing - use the maximum 640, ALWAYS! Show off the details. 2) Not very sharp, it's a bit soft - perhaps from hand holding rather than a tripod? The shutter speed had to have been fairly high to catch the leg in motion...
All JMO of course. :) Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Gold Diggerby DianeSComment: Your neighbors are going to wonder when you start using that shovel in the yard. :D Creative, clever, and a little bit sexy. Nice combo! Look to see this one on the front page at rollover. Congrats on a job well done. |

Temperatureby SpizellaComment: Hey, this is cool! At first glance I thought these were beakers (tubes) or something. What do you do that you had all of these at your disposal? :D Fun shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

N.1 Sexybackby Rino63Comment: This feels kind of like an afterthought, or "honey, don't move...let me get the camera". It's the TV image I think that's giving it that feel IMO. The primary subject, the "back" isn't quite in focus. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Over my Head (contrast)by FedericoComment: Ok, I get the 'Over my Head' part, but why the "(contrast)"? The photo speaks pretty well for itself. Anyway...I like the feel of this, it's symmetrical in an abstract way if that makes any sense. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Because Of Youby Shan2112Comment: I like the POV you used in capturing this photo and the strong diagonal line. The sky works in your favor also. Being advanced editing I'd have cloned out that little piece of tree branches showing in the bottom left. :D The sharpest area of this image is around the feet and lower legs. I think I'd have tried to put the focus more on the head and chest area - not that the upper areas are badly OOF or anything, just a tad soft. The score on this will probably hit the center with polarizing votes based on subject matter. Hope you knew that going in. Overall, well done. Good luck in the challenge. |
