Change hue in basic editingby srugoloComment: You mean like this? :D
I like the way you've composed this positioning the center of the flower on the lower left ROT point. Crisp and well focused overall. Lighting glare on the wet paint is a little distracting, but not major. Biggest complaint I have is the handle of the brush. It just jumps right out there and tries to steal the show, if you know what I mean. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

guitar.jpgby manishComment: This is a lovely image and the grain works quite well IMO. You're on the right track I believe (not that I know much about grain. He-he).
Wow. 55+ views at this point. Kind of blows the anonymous entry thing for considering this shot for the challenge anymore. :(
I look forward to seeing more along these lines from you. Nicely done. |

Local Fire Alarmby JeniYComment: How many times a day do we walk past these without thinking about them? Clean, simple, certainly 'Red'... :D Well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Roseby birkinComment: This is nice and crisp. Certainly 'Red'. :D Something about the water droplets is throwing me off on this. Maybe it's the pure white lighting? Makes it look a little unnatural and studio(ish), rather than warm lighting you'd get from natural sunlight. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Bald Eagleby MaryOComment: Looks like your adventures paid off. Congrats! Nice job on the details and lighting. Liking that new zoom, eh?
Just 6 weeks ago you wrote this in an email discussing Eagles. :D
"...Mason Neck in Alexandria is closer but has fewer eagles so less of a guarantee of seeing one no matter how many hours you spend hiking around there. I speak from experience ;-)"

heart doggieby Blackstarlight0Comment: Yep, some red in here alright. :D While your heart is in the right place, I think this is going to suffer in scoring because of the subject matter (stuffed toy). On the technical side, the lighting is a little harsh. Try and use some diffused (bounced lighting) rather than depending totally on flash. Good luck. |

Going for Red Numbersby things_to_doComment: This has a nice feel to it in general. The position of the golfer in your composition works well as does capturing his swing and the ball in flight. For me, I kind of expect to see a nice sculptured golf course background area, instead it's scruffy and a non-player in the overall image. Hope I'm explaining that correctly...golfer good, golf course background blah. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Brick Redby chimeraComment: It's certainly red, but a little, ummm, non-interesting? Sorry. I can see you made a fine effort at cropping and/or composing this to get the mortar seams all lined up. That's cool. Good luck in the challenge. |

Frosty Morningby aberrationComment: Very nice. Natures natural "desat"! :D Bet you were pretty happy to see this environment develop. Can't say I'd change a thing. Well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Paint it Redby Perfect-CalamityComment: I like this mostly. Feels a little like an attempt at high-key that didn't quite go over the top enough, so it seems overexposed now. Love the color pop and having red in 3 places (strategically positioned) works well for the challenge. Good luck. |
