Very well done with the post-processing. Nice job on the lighting as well. The eyes are quite captivating, although I do find myself turning my head to see the person. Once I do that I think I may recognize this fine photographer's self-portrait. :D Good luck in the challenge.

This is a nice photo of this person, one to be framed and cherished years down the road in life. It has a strong candid feel to it, yet formal in composition. Almost like a formal outtake or something. :) Good luck in the challenge.

Wonderful image. Amazing what can be so easily missed with all of the photo's available on this site.

Johannes - This is an interesting image and I like the end result overall. Just food for thought...there's a slight chance you could have some trouble trying to get an image validated using the techniques as described. The thinking in prior circumstances is that an element has been added that didn't exist in the original capture. Best of luck to you in future challenges.

Seems that many commented on the 'haloing', myself included, but it certainly didn't hurt your score very much. Being a PSP user also, I have a better idea of how you obtained the end result.

I like the bokeh you're getting on the distant berries in this. I wonder how this would have done with a lower angle to isolate the berries against a plain blue sky, with a long angle (as you kind of have now) to let the DOF do it's magic for the distant berries.

Personally, I like this one the best of what you posted in the outtake thread. It's a simpler, "cleaner" looking image with better voting impact. A polarizer would have helped this in two ways; 1) reduce the glare on the clock and pole, 2) enhance the blue sky and clouds some (although they look pretty good already).
