Cliveby cpanaiotiComment: I actually LIKE the way you've composed this and the DOF is right on the mark for this. There is enough in the bg for recognition of the subject, but not so much it detracts from the primary (foreground horse head). I find it inspiring enough to try one of these myself. :D |

The Grand Ladyby brettt83Comment: This is a very unique piece of architecture and has shown up frequently here at DPC. That's all fine, but unfortunately, it's been done a little better in the past than this one. If you are going to revisit a location that's quite popular (same for theme, i.e. water drops) it really needs to stand out to excel. Compositionally I would have tried to include more foreground water and had less sky to offset the centered horizontal line. The photo also seems a bit blurry like you may have had some camera shake on a long exposure. I like the time of day you took this as the reflections are very nice and coordinate with the lower sky sunset.
I hope you don't take my above comments the wrong way, I'm just pointing out a couple of things that may be impacting your score. |

The Hunterby NobodyComment: Nice closeup that fills the frame. Seems a little oversharpened and a bit overexposed IMO. Good luck in the challenge. |

Warning : Grumpy when wetby dewdodesignComment: Chris, I think it was very unethical for you to use this photo in this challenge considering you posted it in this thread asking for feedback 2 days before the challenge went into the voting stage.

Back Garden Primaryby ChinarosepetalComment: Ummm...appears to be dead? The positioning of the legs gives that impression anyway. Nice complimentary colors in this. Good luck. |

Touch Downby owenComment: Nice series. A consideration - I'd have mirrored/flipped this so the highest point (lamp) was on the right. Most people in the western culture read left to right and the low to high progression would be more natural for many if this was going the other way. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

He Reignsby timfythetooComment: I really, really like this. I'd LOVE it if his eyes were sharp. Looks like the focal point fell on the nose. Nice job of PP on this. Good luck in the challenge. |
