Weatheredby ryecrComment: I want to be drawn to the eye, but it's placed uncomfortably in this composition and is too distant. Some minor cropping, sharpening, and a little more contrast would do wonders for this photo. JMO of course. :D
Good luck in the challenge. |

Poker parisien (submitted BEFORE the contest Triptych)by Rino63Comment: Good thing it was submitted before the triptych since it seems to have 4 images being used. :P I really like the lower left image. Not seeing how the images assembled here come together to tell a story. ??? Good luck to you in the challenge. |

Sunset at the Intercoastal Highwayby eacComment: If you would have waited about 3 minutes longer you'd have a nice sunset glow and lighting. With the use of HDR available you could have even brought back some foreground if desired (after waiting 3 minutes for the sun to set the foreground would be darker yet). As is, the sun is a bit too blown out for me. I'm also not seeing a strong subject theme. The river forms a nice leading line, but it takes you to the center of the frame. The brush and distant shoreline to the left aren't adding as much to this composition as the nice golden glow on the water to the right does. I'd emphasize the right side more via repositioning yourself at the time of image capture or in cropping while post-processing. Try to get the horizon more off-center as well.
All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

TWOby moviemanComment: A deeper DOF would have brought the girls face into focus. As is, only one of the "TWO" is sharp. Cool looking pet. I do like your choice of B/W for this, although I think the range could be covered better at the high end (no true whites visible).
All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

High Key Portrait Studyby zaflaboutComment: I'd have pushed the high key even more, but try and save the eyes. Somehow this seems a little unbalanced with the lighting effort. The upper left appears as a nicely toned B/W photo, yet the bottom 2/3's of the face is blownout. Compositionally what you've included in the frame works well. One last thought, I think the eyes should be clearer. There's too much of the white reflector showing and is distracting.
All of the above is JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Innocenceby loriprophotoComment: Hey! Quit chewing on the tree!!! :) Fun photo overall and good use of light. Seems to be just a tad oversharpened. Good luck. |

Petal Softby chesireComment: Looks like cloth or linen it's so soft. Good job of capturing that quality without overprocessing. |

Tabathaby bex85Comment: Nice color and focus. Compositionally I'd lose some of the negative space up top in the sky. I have to scroll down to view the bottom 10% or so of this image (which is frustrating not being able to take it all in). When I do scroll down it looks better - consider it an auto-crop. :) Good luck in the challenge. |
