Ok. How'd you do that? Tom is standing straight, yet the lake in the bg looks to be substantially tilted left (looking at the far shoreline). Hmmm.

From an artistic POV this photo feels a bit like a snapshot. Nothing personal. Something more interesting like a low angle that takes in the sword and Tom's face may have better scoring potential. It's like you tried to incorporate too much into this composition.

The broody sky could have worked in your favor with some different PP; as is, it's a tad washed out in the highlights.

Just some observations, and obviously JMO. :D Good luck in the challenge.

Dancing with the Fog

Very nice diagonals in this strongly composed image. Love the fog. Something about the PP seems a little overcooked. Almost has a painterly feel to it now as the details in the evergreen, roadway, and treebark seem to blend in (smoothed out). Great eye to see this and capture it. Good luck in the challenge.

Seems a little stiff? :P Kind of a documentary type shot - very static. Did you consider other materials to place the bug on? Some sand may have worked better if you're wanting people to wonder if it's alive or not. Dirt and leaves maybe even better. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

Sweet finish Les! Congrats on a top-twenty placing. It's a bummer that we still can't see/vote on challenge entries that belong to DPL team members after the team has long since finished. Personally I'd have given this an 8. Nicely composed and the motion blur is a great touch.
